About the event

Come and enjoy a unique experience crafting your very own Besom Broom in the most magical setting here at Bluebird Acres, facilitated by the sister team, Rebecca and Rachel Toon.

Starting the afternoon with a guided meditation lead by Rachel Toon, Registered Therapeutic Counselor and Mindfulness Coach, we will kick off the event by setting intentions and sparking our creativity.  We will then move into the creation of your one-of-a-kind Besom Broom.  Just in time for the witchiest of seasons!

Used for centuries, Besom brooms were used to ritually cleanse and purify a space or home.  Otherwise known as Witches Brooms, these brooms were used to rid a home of unwanted energies or spirits and were thought to activate communication with the other side.

Rebecca Toon is a talented local Costume Designer and both of the sisters come to you with a deep-rooted history in their connection to craft and nature.  Bluebird Acres is a local therapeutic facility specializing in Nature-Based Wellness and works closely with the resident animals to provide an additional layer of well-being.
